A Giant Love by Flora Quincy
Release Date: November 18, 2022
Content Notes
Size difference
Fake marriage
Greek myth retelling
Sunshine/Grumpy
Romance reader FMC
Breeding
Flora Quincy uses A Giant Love to give her readers a solid Greek retelling that balances novelty and comforting romance story elements. This is a cozy read that won’t overload your reading schedule in the least. Pack it for your next weekend in a forested area.
I would be quite pleased if Quincy ended up doing more stories like these in this re-imagined contemporary setting in Greek mythology. The writing packs a lot of glimpses into a much bigger universe that I suspect has more that could be uncovered.
The Dalwick Demon by Ashley Bennett

Self-acceptance
I cannot adequately express how pleased I am that Ashley Bennett made The Dalwick Demon a stand-alone novella. This self-contained work is a touch darker than her usual stuff with much of the coziness that her regular readers are used to.
Let’s be clear. This would be worth checking out for most readers. Bennett wrote hot scenes with quotable dialogue and an attention-pulling story that reminds me why she is so popular Despite being a relatively new pen name.
For readers like me, (Ashley you can ignore the rest of this because it is utterly useless for you. Keep doing what you’re doing ✌️), I do wonder if it could have gone darker. I cannot emphasize that this review is coming from a reader who can go DARK. I felt as though the stakes were meant to feel direr. The characters seemed to react to the stakes situation in a way that I felt outweighed reality. Maybe I was missing something? But I know I didn’t miss out on a pleasant time reading this.
The Basilisk of Star Manor by Kathryn Moon
Release Date: February 12, 2022
Content Notes
Basilisk Shifter MMC
Blind FMC
Virgin FMC
Sex Worker FMC
Tail Play
Ridges
Sense-enhancing venom
On-page violence
Off-page physical abuse
The Basilisk of Star Manor is a morsel of The Tempting Monsters series Kathryn Moon has been building that will keep you coming back for more. If you’re already in the middle of it, it is a sweet addition to the fun.
Though this story is set in the middle of a book series of polyamorous romances, this is a monogamous M/F relationship. This does not dial back Moon’s talent for sending tendrils of sensuality out of the page and into the reader’s mind. She uses the FMC’s blindness to the advantage of the reader. Touch, smell, and sound can be quite sexy, and Moon pushes that aspect hard for the benefit of all.
