I absolutely enjoyed C.M. Nascosta’s Two for Tea. I have a whole list of reasons why. I was particularly drawn to the emotional journey of the FMC, who grapples with grief after death. This is another good example of how Nascosta can write the equivalent of chicken soup for the monster-lover’s soul.
I recommend this story most for those familiar with the Cambric Creek universe. I think one can follow along just fine going in cold, but I suspect one would enjoy being familiar with the world more. As Nascosta continues to write Cambric Creek stories, I suspect that will continue to be true.
Finally, I want to use this review as my first declaration of love for Holt. I am Team Holt all the way, jerkwad cat attitude and everything. He has set a standard in my head on a witch’s familiar.

I'll say it. I'm a Ladybug fan. Ladybug connects to my soul most of all the characters C. M. Nascosta has created. I want to be this woman's friend and hang out in her kitchen so bad. So, unsurprisingly, I was primed to enjoy Hexennacht and enjoy it, and I did. As a Cambric Creek fan, though, this book excited me about where Nascosta is taking us.
What secrets lie within the depths of Cambric Creek's coven, Nascosta? What mysteries are unfolding? I'm on the edge of my seat, craving to uncover the truth. Little did I know that, by opening this book, I was about to step into a web of small-town drama. (Pun intended.)
If you want to follow along with the future Cambric Creek books, I came away from Hexennacht with the impression that this story requires reading to fully enjoy future books. The good news is that it is another great story by a skilled storycrafter. There are about no downsides to spending time on Hexennacht…unless you have severe arachnophobia.
