Naomi Lucas keeps peeling back the layers of her unique and intriguing post-apocalyptic world in Death Adder. Fans of her Naga Brides series who have loved Viper the best should find this story just as magnetic.
Celeste is reminiscent of Gemma without feeling like a copy of her. This new FMC is a leader and impressively tough. In her, the FMC finds a match who treats him with the sympathy he clearly needs.
I don’t know if the MMC, Zhallaix, is best described as a “bad boy”. He certainly thinks he is. The other nagas believe he is. I think he’s a sad, scary teddy bear who needs a hug. He deserves many hugs.
It is clear Lucas has more mysteries ahead of us. So it is clear I have more future reviews to write on the Naga Brides.

Naomi Lucas uses Boomslang to ignite the outside threats from the series to this point in a thrilling fashion. As soon as Laura, the FMC, lands on Earth it feels like a breathless quest to escape the human baddies and get revenge.
Like every other reader, I enjoyed the FMC being older. She and Azsote are harmonious additions to a maturing, new Naga/Human community being built. They are both mature and easy-going in contrast to Earth's other bolder and younger personalities so far.
Laura’s role also opens up a new method of helping readers better understand the science of this crazy Sci-Fi world. She’s a likable character as well. She may be my new favorite like Shelby.
As a side note, I appreciated that the FMC had big boobs with big boob experiences one has in real life and not just some fantasy.
