Krampus has a chokehold on monster fuckers during the holidays, and that pun is on purpose. It is in line with his brand.
Origins
Modern European folklore in Germany and Austria designated Krampus as St. Nicholas's counterpart on December 5. Good children celebrate St Nicholas, who visits them on this day in those and other European countries with treats and small gifts. In the regions that observe Krampus, he comes to torture and kidnap the bad children. Of course, it would be too idealistic to assume Krampus's culture of origin would be too welcoming of his presence. Austria attempted to ban Krampus in the 1930s under a fascist regime run by Engelbert Dollfuss. (As a biased take by this writer, if fascists want to ban something, it must be cool. Hence, Krampus is cool.)

Krampus Goes Global
Of course, we cannot ignore the recent global adaptation of Krampus. Krampusnacht is an annual parade of people dressed up together as Krampus on December 5, roaming the streets for fun and usually getting drunk. It is celebrated in several European countries but has been heartily picked up in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Krampusrotica
The Internet cultural sphere has also adopted Krampus over the years. It has become an essential motif for the indie romance world during the holidays. At least one author has dubbed their work as "Krampusrotica"

Krampus naturally fits into the monster romance genre of indie romance. The physical description of Krampus that made him the target of cultural bans in the past makes him perfect for the readers' appetites of the indie romance world.
This demon-like appearance and love of accessories that would be at home in a BDSM scene make Krampus a perfect motif for anyone's holiday reading desires.
