The field guide continues!
Knots are, in my view, the little black dress of the monster dick motifs. They go with everything.
Knot just for Canine Monsters
More monsters than you may realize go with knots. The monster romance world will offer them connected… werewolves, lycanthropes, demons, nagas, orcs, and gargoyles among others.
Knots are optional for most of these creatures. They may appear at the base or even midway on the shaft of a penis. There are not many hard rules in the implementation of knots.
Knots IRL
Knots, however, show up most notably and frequently in canine-like humans such as werewolves. Knots do appear in real-life biology among canines. One may come across the term “bulbus glandis”, “blub”, or, yes, even “knot” in a veterinary setting. They do inflate during mating, are located at the base of the penile sheath, and lock the mating pair to complete the entire mating process.
But why…?
For sexual purposes in the paranormal fantasy world though, knots can serve several purposes and this helps contribute to the universality of knots. Besides adding a sense of non-human exoticism, they also…
Increase girth and sensation at maximum moments of pleasure
Add an erotic goal for the receiver of the knot to achieve as a minor side plot
Prolong physical intimacy after intercourse
These reasons might go on though. I’d be curious what other things knots provide in the view of others. And your favorite books with knotting!
