Partying with Pixies has me now thinking Hazel Mack loves making her gargoyle males the sappiest, adoring cinnamon rolls. I am convinced now that Iggy is going to grow up to be just like his dad and uncle and be the most adoring, snack-slinging male in Ever in his own right.
But first, Mack's gargoyles must let themselves reach that point. Getting to that point is what this book focuses on and what a tension release it is. After all, Alo's emotional tension had been building since before the series started.
Alo's reluctance to open his heart and heal from his romantic past seems to be the core of what has made him a grump in the series. I liked Mack having us join him as he had to unpack that. Miriam has her own growth, but really, it is Alo's growth that stole the plot for me.
Overall, the book is a must-read for the series.

I didn't expect Hazel Mack to get as dirty as she did with Waltzing With Witches, and I'm, and I'm so glad I was wrong. I had fun and got some thrills, chills, and overall satisfaction from this capstone book on the Hector Triplet coming to Ever.
This story did an excellent job of wrapping up the ongoing issues and mysteries from the previous books. I'll do my best to avoid spoilers and leave it at that.
Sandwiched between wrapping up the series's overarching plot points, this specific story was spicier than I expected. I suspect it was because I don't often read vampire romances. So, my assumptions are colored by visions of Twilight and Anne Rice (at the spiciest). Mack reset my expectations. I am now more open to vampire romance than before.
