Apologies to my dear readers who may have looked for me on Monday. Life got in the way of my reading time for the first time doing this weekly blog so I had nothing prepared until today.

The real treasure was the lovers we picked up along the way!
It is a great and terrible thing to softly pack up a series that has so changed a career, which Kathryn Moon has done with Sanctuary with Kings as the ending of the Tempting Monsters series. Somehow this story is both soft and sleepy and then action-packed and daring. Moon made a fairy tale for her fans to dream about.
As a Tempting Monsters reader and fan, I personally found this a satisfying conclusion. Moon chooses good themes to work with. I admit I wasn’t expecting the FMC she chose but I also think it was wise. This story decided to conjure up themes of healing and endings. We needed Evanthia for that healing journey. We needed Asterion to join her band of gentlemen to tie things together. Good storytelling choices I thought were made.
I have one more ending side note for the theme of healing. Reading this story made me think how Fantasy (and Fantasy Romance for that matter) can be an underrated mechanism to help readers explore how to be human. In this case, how can we heal ourselves? How can we love ourselves and in doing so learn to love others?

I’ve just read all of Lyonne Riley and throughly enjoy her writing (my first monster romance books (versus tumblr stories)). I like a high level of both romance and smut. lol
New to your reviews (discovered thanks to tumblr). LOVE that you have both quality and spicy rating scales.
Thank you for what you’re doing!!
I’m hoping I can find books that I enjoy to spend money on.
