I was reached out to by budding anthropology researcher, Phobe Santillan, of California State in Fullerton.
This is what she had to say to me:
Whether you're solely into humans or a monster romance enthusiast, I'd love for you to take part in my survey. I'm a graduate student doing my thesis on whether or not monster attraction could be explained through evolutionary anthropology.
The survey will be available from January 9, 2024, to March 12, 2024, and it will take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete (although some people have finished it in as little as 12 minutes). It's completely anonymous and only requires that you be at least 18 years old to participate.
If you're interested, click the link below. And if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me using the phone number or email address provided in the consent form.
I appreciate your time and consideration!

Additionally, for those unfamiliar with the presence of an”IRB number,” that is monitored by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) associated with the researcher. Having one’s research methods reviewed and approved by their university’s or professional organization’s IRB in the United States is a standard requirement of human subject research of any kind. The IRB number gives the survey traceability and allows it to be reported on if needed.
So I invite you all to join me on this interesting venture! For research!
